Mr. Asif Malik

Chief Executive Officer, US Apparel & Textiles Asif is a mechanical engineer by profession with over 25 years of experience in corporate sector of Pakistan & overseas in the areas of manufacturing, sales & marketing, human resource & business leadership with Midas Safety Inc. AkzoNobel, ICI and Engro Chemicals. In his current role as CEO of US Apparel & Textiles, Asif is responsible for company’s overall performance in Pakistan and overseas with over 350 M USD exports annually, and overseeing operations in New York, London & Turkey. Asif is driving US Group’s transformation agenda to convert a profitable family business to a professionally managed successful institution. He has been instrumental in bringing this change successfully in his previous role for Midas Safety, another family owned business, based out of Dubai, UAE. Asif has served as a Director on the Boards of Pakistan Society of Training & Development (PSTD), Arabian Sea Golf & Country Club and Pakistan Society of Human Resources Management (PSHRM). He is currently a member of Midas Safety’s advisory board & leading board’s HR&R committee. Asif is an alumnus of the INSEAD Business School, and have also attended Technical Development Program at Oxford University, UK.

Mr. Irfan Nazir

Managing Director, US Denim Mills Irfan Nazir Ahmad, MBA by profession, with 24 years of experience in Textile & Apparel Industry in the areas of Sales & Marketing, General Management, Production Management and Supply Chain with Reshi Textiles, Azgard 9 Ltd, US Denim and US Apparel. Joined Azgard9 as Assistant Manager Marketing and rose to the senior most position of Managing Director. During the 16 years spent at Azgard9 he served as Business Head in all the 3 business units (Spinning, Weaving and Garments). Joined US Denim as Managing Director in 2014.During his 4 years of stay at US Denim the plant went through 2 phases of expansion and increased its capacity from 1.8 Mln meters to 3.0 Mln meters. Irfan was also responsible for reorganization of entire Marketing department with the focus to increase exports and as part of the process established company’s Turkish Office. As Managing Director US Market, he was responsible for all Commercial & Operational aspects of US segment of Group’s Apparel business and responsible for overall P&L of the business division. He was subsequently transferred back to US Denim Mills in March 2021 as the Managing Director Some of his past achievements are as follows: Served on the Board of Azgard 9, was member of Executive Committee of US Group’s Textile & Apparel business and is an alumnus of INSEAD Business School.

Mr. Hafiz Mustanser

Managing Director, UK / EU Markets - US Apparel & Textiles Hafiz Mustanser is the Managing Director of the sub business unit responsible for UK / EU Market and is responsible for all aspects of the business of this market that includes Marketing, Operations, Materials & Logistics, Product Development, Human Resource and P&L. After completing his MBA degree in marketing, Hafiz Mustanser joined the Company as a Management Trainee in 1998. During his stay with the Company he was assigned different roles in the marketing function including two stints in the Company’s UK office. His phenomenal growth over a period of over 20 years reflects his competence and an acknowledgement of the valuable contributions made by him at different levels of management. He plays an important role in the decision-making process as a member of the Executive Committee. Hafiz Mustanser is an alumnus of the INSEAD Business School and plays a pivotal role in supporting the important cultural transformation of the Company.

Mr. Imran Malik

Managing Director, sBU USA Market Imran Malik, Managing Director, sBU USA Market has been working with the US Group since 2007. Before being appointed as Managing Director for USA Market in 2021, he was heading the Marketing & Supply chain function as Director for the same region. He was responsible for delivering business results as specified in the annual budget including maintaining contribution margin, sales revenue and capacity utilization while maintaining strategic marketing thrust and operations for the USA region. In his 13-year tenure with the US Group, Imran has proved himself as a valuable team member. The strategic penetration in the USA market included inducting new customers in addition to Levi Strauss and establishing a new office in New York (USA) are a few of his remarkable professional achievements. Imran completed his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Punjab, Lahore, and started his career in 1999 as Management Trainee at Matrix Sourcing. He has also worked for a leading knitted tops manufacturing company in Lahore and an American company (Russell Corporation, Pakistan liaison office) where he developed a $50M sports apparel and protective gear business (one of the wings of Russell Corp) in Pakistan competing with China. With his comprehensive industry knowledge and business acumen, Imran is set to achieve even bigger triumphs in his career.

Mr. Afnan Mansoor

Chief Financial Officer, US Apparel & Textiles Afnan is a Chartered Accountant by profession with over 16 years of experience in services and corporate sector of Pakistan. He brings in experience in the areas of assurance, advisory, operational and corporate finance with A. F. Ferguson & Co. and Pace Pakistan Limited. Afnan is currently heading US Apparel finance & IT function. As CFO he is responsible for overseeing accounting & corporate finance policies for the business and is contributing towards strategic planning, optimization of company value through maximizing cash flow, minimizing risk and cost together with understanding and watching liabilities arising out of legal contracts, statutory and tax obligations. He is also responsible for determining business requirements for IT systems, identifying and recommending technology solutions together with directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware. He is a fellow member (FCA) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and also a member of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), USA.

Chaudhary Abdul Rehman

Director Administration & Industrial Relations Abdul Rehman is a seasoned HR & IR professional with almost 30 years of experience of providing manufacturing facilities with a working environment that is safe, and where employees can focus on achieving their goals, meet deadlines, uphold quality and satisfy customers. While working for some of the leading textile and glass manufacturing companies like Nishat, Tariq Glass and US Denim Mills, Abdul Rehman provided leadership in developing organizational structure, and other Human Resource functions in line with company’s strategic objectives and formulated policies and procedures that created win-win for all the stakeholders. He created a conducive working environment where very cordial employer, employee relationship prevailed. He has been instrumental in making these manufacturing facilities compliant with the local labour laws, environment sustainability regulations and brand specific code of conducts facilitating the addition of international brands to their customer portfolio. Abdul Rehman is a Law Graduate with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM. He has been participating in Tripartite meetings & Social Dialogue organized by ILO & Government of Punjab. As member of Punjab Worker Welfare Board, he played a significant role in timely providing benefits of worker welfare schemes. He also conducts training programs on Industrial Relations, Labour Laws and Compliance standards.

Mr. Abdul Jabbar Athar

Director Engineering & Projects, US Apparel & Textiles Abdul Jabbar is an Electrical Engineer by profession with an MBA Degree in General Management. He is an alumnus of the London Business School. He started his career from SIEMENS as a Trainee. He went on to work for ICI Pakistan Limited for 13 years. During his tenure with ICI Pakistan he held important positions in the Soda Ash Plant and successfully executed Rs. 30 million plant modernization programs resulting in 5% increase in production. Among other achievements, he participated in development of two serial business proposals of Rs. 1500 million and Rs. 2500 million for brownfield expansions in Soda Ash manufacturing from 235 Ktons to 285 Ktons to 350 Ktons including 3.5MW Solar/GE turbine-cogeneration plant. Created models and metrics for operational excellence, reliability, quality and productivity KPIs. Enhanced plants availability from 95% to 98% and reduced production loss by 50%. Analyzed business fixed cost. Devised and implemented energy savings plan that achieved reduction by 44% through measurement, monitoring and communication. After short stints at Flowtronix (DDFC Group) and Descon Engineering, he joined Pakistan MAN Group as Head of South Region, where he was responsible for P&L through products, projects and customer focused solution development. In his current role, Jabbar is responsible for organizing the engineering function, identify and execute engineering projects, establish engineering systems and good practices.

Hassan Aftab

Director Human Resource - US Apparel & Textiles Hassan is a human resource professional with more than 40 years, broad based and progressively responsible experience in management and human resources. Out of which about 30 years was in ICI Pakistan in different businesses of the company. He has proven ability to work with senior management team to integrate the human resource function within the overall business strategy. Possess experience in Business / Plant start-ups. He specializes in developing and implementing HR processes & procedures, reorganization & restructuring. At US Apparel & Textiles, Hassan provides leadership to the Human Resource Function, is a member of the Executive Committee and secretary of the US Apparel & Textiles Board of Directors. As a member of Business Executive team, he assists in ‘Organization Capability Reviews” and “culture realignment” programs, conducts training on Business Ethics , Objectives Setting & Performance Appraisals.
